Singing Country
An old ABC alumni put me onto Ash Brennan, who recommended me to Paula Maling who was making a 5-episode program for NITV about singing in Australian Indigenous language.
We met for coffee and cake. By the next morning* I had created an animated opening title sequence for Singing Country.
The dynamic sequence is created by the combination of bold colors, geometric shapes, and symbolic imagery. More than just a visual feast, the animation is a statement about representation and inclusivity, reflecting the important role that Indigenous culture plays in contemporary music and society.
Working closeley with the editor Ash Brennan I designed and animated the opening title sequence, location maps, and lower- frame supers for the series.
*month-or-two. I'm swift, but not that swift.
